Start to finish
Eight steps, every single week.
Same order, same checklist, whether it’s your first week or your hundredth. Nothing gets skipped because it’s a busy day.

Step 1
Water tested on arrival
Before anything goes in the water, we measure free chlorine, pH and total alkalinity. Stabilizer, calcium hardness and salt are checked on a regular rotation, or sooner if the main readings point to a problem.

Step 2
Surface netted clean
Floating leaves, palm fronds, insects and pollen come out first. Pulling debris off the surface keeps it from sinking, staining the finish and feeding algae.

Step 3
Walls, steps & waterline brushed
Algae starts as a thin film in the places water moves least — corners, steps, behind the ladder. Brushing breaks it up before it can grip. The waterline gets extra attention, where sunscreen and oils leave a ring.

Step 4
Skimmer & pump baskets cleared
A packed basket chokes the flow of water, so the pump runs harder and filters less. Both baskets are emptied on every stop.

Step 5
Chemistry balanced
We adjust the water based on what the test showed that day. A week of July sun needs a different correction than a week of afternoon storms, so the dose changes with the weather.

Step 6
Filter pressure noted
Filter pressure is logged each week. As it climbs, the filter is holding more dirt — we’ll tell you when it’s time for a filter clean and what that involves.

Step 7
Equipment looked over
We give the pump, filter, visible plumbing and any heater or salt cell a visual check, watching for drips, odd sounds or anything that isn’t running as it should. If we spot something, you hear about it.

Step 8
Update sent to you
When we pack up, you get a short text or email with the readings and anything worth knowing. Useful when you’re at work — and essential when you’re out of state for the season.
Why every week?
Up north, a pool can sometimes coast between visits. Here, strong UV burns off chlorine, warm water speeds up algae and a single summer storm can dump inches of rain into the pool. Chemistry can drift in a matter of days, and catching it weekly is cheaper and easier than rescuing a green pool.
What’s in the price
Everyday balancing chemicals used during your stop are included in the price we quote. Extras — algae recovery, stain or phosphate treatments, salt for a salt cell — are explained first and only added when you approve them.
What’s not included
Repairs aren’t part of weekly cleaning. If the equipment check turns something up, we tell you what we saw and either quote it separately or point you to an appropriately licensed pool contractor. Every decision stays yours.
Between stops
A few things that help a lot.
- Let the pump run its normal hours — steady circulation keeps the water clean between visits.
- If the water drops below the middle of the skimmer opening, top it off with the hose.
- After a storm, pull out big branches if it’s safe, and tell us if anything looks wrong.
- Hosting a pool party or house guests? A heads-up lets us plan the chemistry around it.
